A total of 20 acres, more or less, from March I, 1969 to March I, 1970 for
a Woodyard at the rate of $20.00 per year.
IN THE MATTER OF
THREE CREEKS ROAD:
The Court at this time held a Hearing to consider any objections
or remonstrances which may be filed on account of Three Creeks Road. Beings
there were no objections the Court declared to establish the Three Creeks Road
as a county road in Deschutes County, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERMIT, BURIED CABLE:
At this time the Court granted a permit to Pacific Northwest Bell
Telephone for a buried cable of 1.2" on Ward Road.
IN THE MATTER OF
TRAVEL, CIVIL DEFENSE:
At this time the Court granted that ten cents (100) per mile be
allowed to Lester Houk, Civil Defense Director, on travel expense.

The Court at this time executed a Redemption Deed to Richard I.
Gainer, for the consideration of $323.23 for the following described parcels:
Lot 19, Block 5, LaPine Acres
Lot 20, Block 5, LaPine Acres
Lot 40, Block 5, LaPine Acres
IN THE MATTER OF
COUNTY -OWNED LANDS,
REDMOND INDUSTRIAL AREA:
The Court at this time decided to place a moratorium on the sale
of any Redmond holdings until the Comprehensive Plan for Deschutes County is
completed and accepted; and then the policy of the Court will be determined.
However, the County Court feels any uses that would be consistent with the
Comprehensive Plan for the area, should be encouraged until such time the
Comprehensive Plan is completed. This would include such airport oriented
uses as research, electronics, fabricating, small product processing, manu-
facturing and many other light and medium Industries. Also, research areas
compatible for feed lots or agricultural uses.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF PORTION OF
PLAT OF DESCHUTES RIVER
RECREATION HOMESITES, INC.:
The Court at this time made Resolution, upon the written petition
of Deschutes River Recreation Homesites, Inc., an Oregon corporation, through
its President, Dan H. Heierman, of its intention for the vacation of a portion
of Plat of Deschutes River Recreation Homeistes, Inc. (Attached property
description to these Minutes); and Ordered notices of the proposed vacation
of lots, blocks and streets to be placed in three (3) conspicuous places and
that the date of Hearing shall be June 18, 1969, at 10:00 a.m., in the
Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
APPRAISER:
At this time the Court, upon the petition of N. J. (Ike) Donat,
Deschutes County Assessor, ordered that the Deschutes County Clerk place the
name of Harry Skjersaa, as Appraiser for the Deschutes County Assessor's
office, on a full time basis at $550.00 per month, effective May 2, 1969.
IN THE MATTER OF
COMMUNICATIONS MAINTENANCE:
At this time the Court opened the bids for the maintenance of
Communications equipment for the County. The lowest bidder was Lava Butte
TV Cable and Communications Inc., but the Court notified those present that
they would take the bids under advisement and notify the successful bidder
later. On May 14, 1969 a Service Contract was signed by the Court and the
bid was awarded to Lava Butte TV Cable & Communications Inc., for the rate
of $288.00 per month for maintenance.
IN THE MATTER OF
SECRETARY, DISTRICT
ATTORNEY'S OFFICE:
The Court ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to place the name of
Iva C. Day, Secretary for the Deschutes County District Attorney's Office,
at a salary of $400.00 per month, beginning April 28, 1969.

IN THE MATTER OF
CONTRACT OF SALE:
The Court, on the 13th of May, 1969, entered into an Agreement with
Dora Yager or Paul Yager, LaPine, Oregon, for the following described real
property situate in said County of Deschutes and State of Oregon, to -wit:
Lots 5 and 6, Block 3, First Addition Deschutes River Acres,
for the consideration of $200.00 Cash, the balance to be in 4 equal payments
of $200.00 each, every six months, commencing November 10, 1969, at the rate
of 6 per cent Interest. These are Parcels 6 and 7 of Land Sale x#297.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF A PORTION
OF A STREET OF HILLMAN:
The Court at this time resolved to vacate Central Avenue, from the
east side of Fourth Street, thence east 100' in Hillman, as recorded in the
plat filed in the Deschutes County Clerk's Office; and further ordered that
the Deschutes County Roadmaster, Charles L. Plummer, post notices of the
proposed vacation in three conspicuous places and that the date of Hearing
shall be June 18, 1969, at 10:00 a.m. PDT., in the Deschutes County Courtroom,
Deschutes County Courthouse.
IN THE MATTER OF
NEW APPLICATION
CLASS "A" LICENSE:
At this time the Court recommended the approval of a new application
for a DA License for Captain Jack's, Inc., Fredrick Cronin, located two miles
S. of Bend, Hwy. 97.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF A
6" PIPELINE:
The Court at this time granted a permit to Allen J. Auzenne to
install a 6" pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF TWO
ACCESSES:
The Court at this time granted a permit to Claire H. Limbeck to
install two (2) accesses on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
REMOVAL OF OIL TANKS:

The Court at this time unanimously approved to remove the oil tanks
the parking lot on Bond and Greenwood and agreed that a letter would be
to Alva Goodrich, present lessee of this property, making agreement during
interruption of usage of the full parking lot.
