The Court at this time approved the ordering of a new car for
the Roadmaster and a replacement Pick-up for Dog Control.
IN THE MATTER OF
SPECIAL ELECTION:
The Court at this time, upon the recommendation of the Solid Waste
Committee and the Budget Advisory Committee, ordered a Special Election be
held to permit a levy for the financing of Solid Waste Disposal Sites in
Deschutes County on June 25, 1969.
The Court further recommended, upon the recommendation of the
Budget Advisory Committee, that at a special election on June 25, 1969, a
levy for the financing of the office of the Surveyor in Deschutes County
be made. Said levies will be outside the limitation imposed by Article XI,
Section 11, of the Oregon Constitution.
IN THE MATTER OF
CIVIL DEFENSE:
At this time the Court notified Jefferson County that Mr. Lester
Houk, Deschutes County Civil Defense Director, would not be director of
Jefferson County, thereby cancelling the agreement of May 2, 1966.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF PORTION
OF PLAT OF
MEADOW VILLAGE:
The Court at this time ordered that a portion of Meadow Village
described as Lots 8, 9 and 10 of Block 22, in Deschutes County, Oregon shall
be and the same is hereby vacated, as there were no objections at such hearing
held this day.
IN THE MATTER OF
PAYROLL SERVICE:
At this time the Court accepted
States National Bank, beginning July, 1969
of the services of the First National Bank
IN THE MATTER OF
AGREEMENT WITH
EMERY HENDRICKSON:
the payroll service of the United
payroll and ordered the termination
as of June payroll.
The Court at this time entered into an Agreement with Emery
Hendrickson for permission to use a stockpile on Burgess Road; no fees attached.
IN THE MATTER OF
MEMORIAL TO CONGRESS:
At this time the Court made Resolution to reaffirm Deschutes County's
support for the reciprocal freedom of the States and the Federal Government
from taxation by the other and to petition Congress to refrain from enac ting
legislation which would lead to a confrontation in court on constitutional issue
copies being sent of this Resolution to members of Congress from this state.

IN THE MATTER OF
ACCESS TO COUNTY ROADS:
The Court at this time resolved that it shall be the policy of
the Deschutes County Court to deny private access to county roads, and if
there be exception, it shall be on individual merit.
IN THE MATTER OF
DEED:
The Court at this time executed a Deed to James M. or Annette M.
McSweeney for Parcel 60 of Land Sale #297, for the consideration of $800.00,
plus the City Lien of $638.24 which was paid to City of Bend, for Lot 5,
Block 9, Aubrey Heights Addition, Bend.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF A
PORTION OF EHRET ROAD:
The Court, on May 23, 1969, held a Hearing and hereby ordered that
a portion of the Ehret Road in Deschutes County, Oregon shall be and the same
is hereby vacated, as there were no objections held this day in the Deschutes
County Courtroom.
IN THE MATTER OF
AN OPTION:
The Court, on May 28, 1969, granted to the Redmond Industrial
Committee an option to buy three ten -acre parcels of land described as
follows:

INSURANCE BID OPENING:
At this time the Insurance Bids for a plan of Group Insurance for
the employees of Deschutes County and their eligible dependents were opened
and read by County Clerk, Helen M. Dacey; thereupon the Court referred the
bids to be considered by the Deschutes County Insurance Committee, who in
turn would make recommendations to the Court.
IN THE MATTER OF
REFUND OF TAXES:
The Court at this time ordered F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, to make
the following refund of Taxes:

IN THE MATTER OF
NEW BEER LICENSE:
The Court at this time recommended for approval a new RMBA License
to Grandpa's Kountry Smokehaus, Gordon W. Henderson, of LaPine, Oregon.
