Deschutes County Land & Water Conservation Trust Fund
disbursing monies for park acquisition and development.
At this time the Court authorized the Deschutes 'County Treasurer to transfer
$50,000 from the General Road Fund to the Buildings & Equipment Reserve Fund.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS:
At this time a Hearing was held regarding property of Robert E. and Betty L.
Mitchell, for purposes of county road and bridge construction; namely, a parcel of land
lying in Tract 24, Reed Highway Acreage, Sec. 2, Deschutes County, Oregon and being a
portion of that property described in that deed to Robert E. & Betty L. Mitchell recorded
in Book 112, page 300 of Deschutes County Record of Deeds. Beings there were no
remonstrances, nor did the parties concerned appear before the Court, the District Attorney
was authorized to proceed with the Resolution to commence a necessary proceeding for
the condemnation of this land. This Resolution was filed as of October 19, 1967.

IN THE MATTER OF
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
FOR THE ROAD DEPARTMENT:
At this time the Court ordered the Clerk to place the name of Edward Emil
Kirbs, Engineering Technician, on the payroll of the Deschutes County Road Department
at a salary of $500.00 per month, effective November 1, 1967.
IN THE MATTER OF
ACCESS ROAD EASEMENT:
The Court at this time signed a road access agreement with Bonneville Power
Administration, U. S. Department of Interior, and Deschutes County for the consideration
of the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars across the lands in Government Lot 2,
the SV4W-4, the E3�5S*4, the M-404- and the N"9-4- of Section 30, Township 19 South,
Range 16 East, Willamette Meridian, Deschutes 'County, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
NATURAL GAS LINE:
Court at this time granted a permit to Cascade Natural Gas Corporation to
install a 211 weld main pipeline on or across Deschutes 'County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
RADIO FOR WATERMASTER:
The Court at this time ordered the Civil Defense Director, Mr. William C. James,
to purchase an RCA reconditioned radio unit for the Watermaster's car.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONCRETE SLAB AND POLE:
The Court authorized a ten foot concrete slab at Awbrey Butte for an addition
to the county's radio house; funds for this to be taken from the Road General Fund. Also,
figures are to be asked from Pacific Power & Light Company for a new pole at the radio
transmitter's location.
IN THE MATTER OF
PERMIT TO HAUL
CLAY FILL MATERIAL:
The Court granted permission to Squaw Creek Irrigation Co. to haul approxi-
mately 10,000 cubic yards clay fill material over two miles at Stevens 'Canyon Road, thence
on Indian Ford Loop Road, thence over the Camp Polk Road to McKenzie Highway.
There being no further business, Court adjourned.
