The Court at this time wrote a letter of intent to Charles L. P1umner, Jr.,
Deschutes County Roadmaster, to build an access road from the intersection of the McCaffary
Road and Antler Avenue south on the one-half section line to a connection with the Prine-
ville Redmond Highway. Also the Court asked engineering work to be completed as soon as
feasible, on this approximate 3900 feet of access, sixty feet in width, with the center
line to be the one half section line of Section 15, Twp. 15 S., R. 13 E.W.M. Also the
Court's intent is to call for bids for fencing the area along the road and along the
highway to Prineville to preclude the continuous promiscuous garbage dumping.
IN THE MATTER OF
LARSEN ROAD:
The Court at this time made resolution to establish a county road in Deschutes
County, Oregon, described as follows, to -wit:
A strip of land 60 ft. in width for a County Road, being 30 ft. on
side of a center line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North and South 'Center line of Section
12, twp. 18 S., R. 12 E.W.M., the said point being in the center
of the Ward Road and 2815.5 feet North of the 34- Section corner
between Sections 12 and 13 and running South along the center line
of Sections 12 and 13, Twp. 18S., R. 12 E.W.M. to the 3-4- Section
corner between Sections 13 and 24 which is the end of the Road where
it joins the Rickard Road.
The Court further ordered that the 'County Roadmaster or his duly qualified
deputy shall post certified copies of this Resolution in three places in the vicinity
of said proposed road, and that Wednesday, January 3, 1968, at 10:00 a.m., at the County
Courthouse, Bend, Oregon, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the
Hearing of objections, if any there be, why said proposed road should be established.
IN THE MATTER OF
CRAVEN ROAD AND
CESSNA DRIVE:
At this time the Court made resolution to establish a county road in Deschutes

County, Oregon, described as follows, to wit:
A strip of land for road purposes 60 feet in width, being 30 feet
each side of a center line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of Section 3 of Twp. 18 S.,
R. 12 E.W.M. which point is near the Bear Creek Road, the said point
being S 890 591 44,1 W 660 feet from the North �j Section corner of
Section 3. Twp. 18 S., R. 12 E.W.M. and running thence S. 00 191 3111
E 1292.45 ft. on Cessna Drive; thence g. 89 41t W. 267,72 ft. to
the center of Craven Road; thence N. 0 181 0011 W 626.5 ft, along
Craven Road. From this point Craven Road is 50 ft. in width bung
25 ft. on each side of the centeg line and running thence S. 89
591 x.911 W. 281.3 ft. thence N. 0 151 44t1 E. 314.0 ft; thence N. 58°
121 0711 E. 143.0 ft.; thence N. 0° 151 4411 E. 278.2 ft. to north line
of Section 3 on Bear Creek Road, the said point being S. 890 591 4411
W 11.7.31 from the point of beginning. The said road being 3203.17
ft. or 0.60 miles in length.
The Court further ordered that the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified
deputy shall give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properly
certified to as such by the County Cler, at the place of holding 'County Court and also
at three public places in the vicinity of said proposed road thirty days previous to the
consideration of this Resolution by the County Court, notifying all persons concerned .
that said Resolution will be considered and passed upon by the Court at a meeting on the
3rd day of January, 1968, at which time the Court will consider any objections or
remonstrances which may be filed on account of said proposed road.
IN THE MATTER OF
BARGAIN & SALE
DEED TO SAGEBRUSHERIS:
The Court at this time issued a deed to Sagebrusherts Art Society, Inc. for
the real property situated in Deschutes County, State of Oregon, described as:
Block 151, Lot 9, Second Addition to Bend Park
for the consideration of one dollar.
IN THE MATTER OF
DESIGNATION OF
COUNTY PARK:
At this time the Court Ordered that That portion of the SU&4NW-4 of'.8ection 36
lying north of the Deschutes River in Township 15 S., Range 12 E.W.M. be set aside for
public use and access to the Deschutes River., according to ORS 203.120 (11).
IN THE MATTER OF
ADDITION TO THE
ROAD DEPARTMENT
OFFICE BUILDING:
At this time Bids were opened for the Addition to the Deschutes County Road
Department Office Building. The Court awarded the construction to the low bidder, Ernie
Steinlecht whose Basic Bid is $18,691, and his alternate 11Atl bid of $2,911.
IN THE MATTER OF
LETTER OF INTENT:
The 'Court at this time wrote a letter of intent to Frank @autier with regard to
the problem existing in both the Knott Pit and the Elder Pit with car bodies. The Court
agreed that whatever bodies are left in these pits on January 1, 1968, will be crushed
with the Cat and buried.

IN THE MATTER OF
PERMIT FOR DIRT
FROM KNOTT PIT:
The Court at this time authorized Ralph Hart to remove 2000 cy material from
Knott Pit to be used in construction of public roads. This privilege is extended in return
for 3/4-0 aggregate furnished to Deschutes County from Finley Butte in Lapine.
IN THE MATTER OF
MAINENANCE MAN I:
The Court at this time ordered that Lonie James Fletcher be placed on the
Road Department payroll as Maintenance Man I at a salary of $440.00 per month, effective
December 18, 1967; this was done upon the recommendation of "Charles L. Plummer, Roadmaster.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF A
NATURAL GAS MAIN:
At this time the Court granted a permit to Cascade Natural Gas Corporation to
install a 4" gas main on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
RIGHT OF WAY AGREEMENT:
The `Court at this time entered into an agreement with William Miller, who
conveys to Deschutes 'County by deed, a parcel of land along the north and south side of
Skyliners Road, Deschutes .County, Oregon; as it is necessary to improve said road to the
standards designed by Deschutes County and acceptable to the Federal Aid Secondary System.
A portion of Skyliners Deschutes County Road is in the Aouth one-half of Sections 35 and
36, Township 17 South, Range 11 East, Willamette Meridian.
IN THE MATTER OF
RENEWAL OF BUSINESS LICENSE
AS A WRECKER OF MOTOR VEHICLES:
The Court at this time approved the renewal license of the Redmond Auto Wrecking,
246 N. 5th St., Redmond, Oregon for Milton E. Jonas and C. W. Jonas.
