LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:
The Court at this time ordered the Deschutes 'County Clerk tb place the name of
Mrs. Louise Devenport on a full time basis as Licensed Practical Nurse for the Home Health
Agency, beginning January 1, 1968 with the rate of pay to be $100.00 per month. This will
amend the -County Court's minutes of December 20, 1967.

OFFICE APPRAISER:
At this time the Court ordered the Deschutes County Clerk to raise the salary
of Joan Rotsolk to $400.00 a month starting with the February 1, 1968 payroll.

DESIGNATION OF
NEWSPAPERS FOR 1968:
The Court at this time designated the Redmond Spokesman and Bend Bulletin as
official newspapers for Deschutes County for 1968.

DEED TO SAGEBRUSHERIS:
The Court at this time issued a deed to Sa.gebrusherTs Art Society, Inc. for
the real property situated in Deschutes County, State of Oregon, described as:
Block 151, Lots 3 & 4, Second Addition to Bend Park.
This is to amend the minutes of the County Court, dated December 6, 1967 as the
property deeded on that date was erroneously given. To clear this matter, the SagebrusherTs
Art Society, Inc. deeded the following piece of property back to the County:
Block 151, Lot 9, Second Addition to Bend Park.

ESTABLISHMENT OF
CRAVEN ROAD,

There being no objections at the Hearing held January 8, 1968, the Court ordered
the establishment of Craven Road, Cessna Drive and Larsen Road. It is further ordered that
the Deschutes County surveyor shall file a plat of said roads, as surveyed om,;J%he g0ound,
with the road records of Deschutes County all in accordance with ORS 368.605.

The Court at this time granted permission to Charles L. Plummer, Jr., Deschutes
County Roadmaster, to purchase one (1) SCM 10 Marchant calculator from Mahoney's Office
Supply for the price of $795.00, for Engineer's Office, Deschutes County Road Department.

BANCROFT PROJECT NO. (1):
The Court at this time called for bids to be opened at 10:00 a.m. January 24, 1968,
for the engineering on Bancroft Project No. (1), which consists of two streets in Wildwood
Park Subdivision, Parr Lane and Fairway Drive. The total length of the projects being

INSTALLATION OF PIPE:
At this time the Court granted permission to Kirby L. Sheets to install a 6"
pipe line on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.

The Court at this time entered into an Agreement with Liberty Television, Incorpora
to lease the following described property:

CHIEF PAULINA DRIVE:
At this time the Court made Resolution to establish a county road in Deschutes
County, Oregon, described as follows, to wit:
A parcel of land sixty feet in width being thirty (30) feet each side
of center line and described as follows.-
Beginning

Beginning at a point thirty feet (301) westerly of the Southeast
corner of section twenty four (24) and thence running northerly
parallel to the east line of section twenty four (24) a distance
of 1977.0 feet. All in the E �, SE �4-, Section 24, Twp. 20 S.,

The Court further ordered that the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified
deputy shall post certified copies of this Resolution in three places in the vicinity
of said proposed road, and at the place of holding -County Court; and that said Resolution
will be considered and passed upon by this Court at a meeting on the 7th day of February,
1968, at which time the Court will consider any objections or remonstrances which may be
filed on account of said proposed road.
IN THE MATTER OF
RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT:
The Court granted permission to Charles L. Plummer, Deschutes County Roadmaster,
to rent two (2) cy scrapers from Jack Robinson & Sons Contractors to work on excavation
and embankment on the Tumalo Falls Grading Project; the estimated cost for the seven (7)
days is $3,248.00.
IN THE MATTER OF
ROAD NAME CHANGE:
The Court proposed to change the names of Peters, Road, Harper Road, Tholstrup
Road, all to South Century Drive; as it will be to the advantage of the renaming to the
County Road system. The Court further notified that the County Court will on February 7, 1968
at 10:00 a.m. hear and determine whether the name changes herein described shall be ordered
as proposed; and objections thereto must be filed in the office of the"County Clerk of this
County on or before February 5, 1968, or the name changes hereinabove described will be
declared legal, and final.

PUBLICATION OF
TAX FORECLOSURE:
The Court at this time designated to publish the Tax foreclosure notice in
the Redmond Spokesman.
IN THE MATTER OF
COOK FOR DESCHUTES
COUNTY JAIL:
At this time the Court ordered that the Deschutes County Clerk place the name
of Caroline Smith on the Deschutes County payroll as the cook for the jail on weekends at
a salary of $100.00 per month, effective as of December 17, 1967.

The Court at this time executed a Deed to William E. Richardson and Dona E.
Richardson, husband and wife, to the following described real property, to wit:

reserves a strip 20 feet wide on both sides of the Deschutes River for public
use. Deschutes 'County reserves all mineral rights.

CONTINUATION OF USE PERMIT:
The Court at this time signed an agreement with the Bureau of Land Management
allowing Deschutes County to perate a sanitation land fill on portions of the NW -q91, 4
Sec. 11, Twp. 18 S., R. 12 E.W.M. No rental charge will be made. This agreement will
expire ori Vecember 31,1968, amended from February 1, 1968 as in the original memorandum
of understanding.

PLANNING PROGRAM FOR
DESCHUTES 'COUNTY:
The Court entered into an Agreement with Gt wald, Crawford & Associates on
January 16, 1968 for'_a Planning Program for Deschutes County with the proposed scope of
services necessary for (1) establish an orderly planning process within County
government; (2) complete the remaining elements in the development of a comprehensive
County General Plan; (3) complete specific regulatory ordinances for use in implementing
development plans; and (4) provide direction to the County in setting a course of action
once the General Plan and ordinances are adopted. A retainer fee of Two Thousand Nine
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2,950.00) was submitted with the signed contract which states
that this firm will begin work within thirty (30) days following receipt of said signed
contract and retainer fee.
There being no further business, Court adjourned.
