IN THE MATTER OF
HEARING FOR
LIVESTOCK DISTRICT #7:
On November 12, 1968, a Hearing was held in the Deschutes County Courtroom
at 10:00 a.m, for the purpose of creating a Livestock District #7. After much testifying
both for and against the matter, the Court agreed to wait for a new area map to be
submitted by the Bureau of Land Management, agreed to meet about cattle guards in the area
and then will call another meeting to determine if the petitioners want an election to
follow.
IN THE MATTER OF
CANCELLATION OF LEASES:
The Court at this time unanimously ordered that the Lease to Alta Sierra and
the Lease to Jack Shumway, both be cancelled with Deschutes County as they have been
notified both by letter by the Court and the District Attorney of their negligence in
keeping the payments current on these County -owned lands.
IN THE MATTER OF
BID AT SHERIFF'S SALE:
At this time the Court accepted the bid of $135.00 from Delmer Carpenter for
one International L-190 Series, License #T 141242, and furnished Mr. Carpenter with a
Certified copy of Sheriff's Certificate of Sale dated November 8, 1968.
IN T HE MATTER OF
PERSONNEL J -J Boy's RANCH:
At this time the Court ordered that the Deschutes County Clerk place the
following on the payroll as staff at the J -J Boys' Ranch:
Neal Jobe King, Relief Supervisor, at a salary of $50.00 per 48-hour shift,
effective November 15, 1968;
Bradley Jay Young, Night and Relief Supervisor -Counselor, Temporary, at a salary
of $200.00 per month, effective November 20, 1968;
Mildred Knapp, Cook, permanent, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, effective
November 18, 1968.

IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF PORTION
OF PLAT OF MEADOW VILLAGE:
The Court at this time ordered the vacation of a portion of the Plat of Meadow
Village because of establishing certain boundaries of lots and blocks. -in a matter which
makes possible economic installation of certain utilities designed to serve the same, and
for re-establishment of same in a different manner and location, and the creation of
additional and other lots in said plat; and as there were no objections at the said hearing
held November 20, -,1968, at 10:00 a.m, at the Deschutes County Courthouse, Bend, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
VACATION OF A PORTION
OF HILLMAN SUBDIVISION:
At this time the Court ordered the vacation of a portion of Hillman Subdivision
Plat so that the subdivision may be replatted in larger lots; and as there were no objections
at the said hearing held on November 20, 1968, at 10:00 a.m. at the Deschutes County
Courthouse, Bend, Oregon.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONTRACT FOR THE
SALE OF TIMBER:
The Court at this time entered into an agreement with the Bureau of Land
Management for the purchase of timber in Twp. 10 E., Range 22 S., Section 13, N to clear
and prepare for LaPine Dump Site.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONTRACT:
The Court on November 22, 1968 entered into an agreement with Edward Dill and
Mildred I. Dill for the consideration of $120.00 in cash and the balance in three payments
of $160.00 each at the rate of 6 per cent interest, for the total sum of $600.00 for the
following described real property situate in Deschutes County, State of Oregon:
Lots 14, 15, and 16, Block 31, Hillman and Lots 17, 18, & 19, Block 24, Hillman.
IN THE MATTER OF
CONTRACT:
On November 22, 1968, the Court entered into an agreement with James F. Bozarth
and Susan Annette Bozarth for the consideration of $600.00, to be paid as follows: Twenty
per cent down ($120.00) and the balance in three equal payments of $160.00 each, to be
paid yearly, for the following described real property situate in 'Deschutes County, State
of Oregon:
Lots 23, 24 and 25, Block 24, Hillman and Lots 14, 15, 16, Block 24, Hillman.
IN THE MATTER OF
BUILDING OF AN ACCESS:
The Court at this time granted a permit to T. E. Watson to build an access on
or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
MOVING A BUILDING:
At this time the Court granted a permit to Carl Spencer to move a building on
or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
IN THE MATTER OF
INSTALLATION OF A PIPELINE:
At this time the Court granted a permit to City of Redmond to install a
pipeline on or across Deschutes County right-of-way.
