SLASH, PIERCE ROAD IN LAPINP:
At this time the Court granted permission to the Deschutes County Roadmaster,
Charles L. Plummer, to use county forces and equipment to dispose by burning, R/W slash
along the Old R/W of Pierce Road in LaPine.

AS WRECKER:
The Court at this time approved the application for Mayea Auto Wrecking,
U.S. 97 N., Bend, for Eugene and Marie Mayea, for a Business License.as Wrecker.

RIGHT OF WAY
AGREEMENT:
At this time The Court signed an agreement with Willis Batchelor and Imogene R.
Batchelor to imove the Larson Road to the standards designed by Deschutes 'County and
aceptable to the F.A.S. System. The Grantor a&Mes to convey to Deschutes County by deed,
the East side of said road, a parcel of land approximately 1200 feet along said road, and
described as follows: The West 30 feet of NW SES, Sea, 12 Twp., 18 S.j R. 12 E.W.M.,
South of the intersection of the Ward Road.

CORRECTION DEED:
At this time the Court executed a Correction Deed to Kenneth A. and Joan M. Ries,

At this time the Court was informed by the Assessor, N. J. Donat, appointed
member of the Board of Review, Mr. Robert Beesley, that he and the Court appointed member
of the Board, Mr. Robert Wiegand, had appointed Mr. George Hostetler of Redmond as the
third member of the Board of Review.

HEARING FOR BEAR CREEK
ROAD AND NEFF ROAD:
At this time, March 22, 1968, the Court heard no objections nor remonstrances as. to
why Bear Creek Road and Neff Road should not be surrendered from county jurisdiction
to the City of Bend. After said Hearing, it was declared that these two above mentioned
roads in the best interests of Deschutes County, be Ordered as Axantfdrivd to the City of
Bend.

The Court, on March 22, 1968 held a Hearing for the purpose to consider an
exchange of property between Deschutes County and James O. Arntz & Doris E, Arntz. After
much discussion, both in support and in opposition of such trade, the Court by unanimous
decision, moved that the exchange be denied and adjourned the Hearing.
IN THE MATTER OF
POLICY ON LAND EXCHANGES:
At this time the 'Court adapted a policy on land exchange with Deschutes County
and so ordered that Deschutes County will only %onsider the holder of private property to
be used in such exchange, have appraised by a certified land appraiser for Oregon both
pieces of property involved in the proposed exchange.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING,
SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGETz
The Court gave notice to hold a public hearing on a supplemental budget for
the fiscal year July 1, 1967 to June 30, 1968, at the Courthouse in Bend, Oregon at
7:30 p.m., April 18, 1968. The funds which will provide the supplemental budget are
available from sources other than additional taxation made up from land sales in the
1967-68 fiscal year; these are sources of income, not foreseen at the time of the adoption
of the 1967--68 budget.
