This service is to be effective August 1, 1967. IN THE MATTER OF ROAD ADVISORY COMMITTEE: The Court at this time ordered that a Road. Advisory Committee be appointed for a three year period, beginning July 1, 1967, the following members, subject to acceptance: Jack Robinson, Bend; George Wakefield, Redmond; James Bussard, Bend; Robert Cooper, Bend; Glenn Payne, Bend; Omar Moffitt, Brothers; and C. E. Hein, Bend. The Court's clerk is to notify members of their appointment by letter. IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENT OF CHARTER COMMITTEE: The Court at this time made Resolution in accordance with ORS 203.730, that a Charter Study Committee be appointed for Deschutes County. The Court's appointment to this committee are: Glenn Hayes, Glenn Cushman, William Jossy, and John Norlin. IN THE MATTER OF COURT VISITORS: At this time a group of six men, plus two interpreters, from Thailand visited the Court Session. The group was introduced to the Court by Harry Waldron and James Crowell. Thereafter Judge Penhollow directed a tcxr, of the various departments of the Courthouse. IN THE MATTER OF EVANS WAY: The Court at this time designated the middle public road in the LaPine area between Hinkle Way and Bonnie Way be known as EVANS WAY. IN THE MATTER OF WEED CONTROL ADVISORY COMMITTEE: At this time. Bob Beesley presented the problems of the Weed Control Committee to the County Court. The Court advised that they will expect a program by the Weed Control Advisory Committee, and the Court will abide by this committee's report and make Resolution to this effect. Lungren in the interest of the Briggs Road. The Court ordered the establishment of the existing road, maintaining it, but with no improvements; and at any time there is a future request, the Court will have to have the legal right-of-way. IN THE MATTER OF EXCHANGE OF COUNTY PROPERTY WITH DR. KENNETH H. OAKLEY: At this time the Court made Resolution of its intention to exchange property with Dr. Kenneth H. Oakley, pursuant to ORS 275.100, the proposed exchange described as follows: Deschutes County to Dr. Kenneth H. Oakley: SE14 of Section 22, Twp. 17 S., Range 12 E.W.M. (40 Acres) Dr. Kenneth H. Oakley to Deschutes County: NV- EhS*4 of Section 15, Twp. 17 S., Range 12 E.W.M. (20 Acres) and AjTftt-4 of Section 15, Twp. 17 S., Range 12 E.W.M. (20 Acres). It is ordered that the County Clerk give notice of a hearing to be held in the Deschutes County Courtroom at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, on the 30th day of August, 1967 at Bend, Oregon, as the time and place for hearing of objections, if there be any, why said parcels should not be exchanged. -5- von. 11 w323 IN THE MATTER OF BRIDGE TO PRINGLE FALLS: At this time the Court heard Helen Evans who is concerned about the traffic hazards on the Bridge to Pringle Falls on Little River. It is decided that the Deschutes County Roadmaster, Charles L. Plummer, Jr. will see about having some signs printed and posted. IN THE MATTER OF RIGHT-OF-WAY: The Court at this time designated that Roadmaster Charles L. Plummer, Jr. be given the responsibility to procur the right-of-way for Parrell Bridge. IN THE MATTER OF RANCHKAYS ACRES, 1ST ADDITIONS: The Court has made inspection of the roads in Ranchways Acres, 1st Addition in Redmond and stipulated specifications for completion of these roads on W. Pumice Avenue, 25th and 26th, to be taken over as county roads. IN THE MATTER OF WILDWOOD PARK SUBDIVISION: The Court at this time received a petition from the owners of adjacent property situated in Wildwood Park Subdivision, S�NE4 of Section 17, Twp. 18 S., R. 12 E.W.M. for Bancrofting; and ordered the County Engineer to make a cost study. Wingfield 125 IN THE MATTER OF HALF TIME SECRETARY SHERIFF"S DEPARTMENT: At this time the Court ordered the Clerk to place the name of Margaret Higdon on the payroll for the Sheriff's Department as a half-time secretary, starting July 6, 1967 at a salary of $110.00 per month. IN THE MATTER OF PRICE QUOTATION ASPHALT & AGGREGATE: The Court called for sealed price quotations to be opened on August 9, 1967, at 10:00 a.m., in the County Courtroom, Deschutes County Courthouse, for the purpose of furnishing and placing asphalt and aggregate, for 0-33 sealing program and 0-9 oil mat, Deschutes County Road Department. IN THE MATTER OF EARNEST MONEY AGREEMENT: The Court, on July 25, 1967, signed an earnest following described property, through Mid -State Realty, $10,750.00: Tract #1, Lytle Acres, being 171 East Penn County, State of Oregon. IN THE MATTER OF AGREEMENT WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT: money agreement to purchase the Bend, with the entire sum being Avenue, City of Bend, Deschutes At this time, the Court entered into an Agreement with the State Highway Department for Boat Ramp Facilities for the fiscal year ;of 1967-68. r VOL It puf f IN THE MATTER OF WEST PUMICE AVENUE, 25th STREET, .AND 26thSTREET: The Court at this time made Resolution of its intention to accept West Pumice Avenue, from the west side of 26th Street to the Euston County Road, and 25th & 26th Streets as recorded in a plat filed in Book 8, Page 28, in the Deschutes County Clerks Office, and designated as Ranchway Acres, 1st Addition, as county roads; and ordered the County Roadmaster or his duly qualified deputy to give notice of this Resolution by posting true copies thereof, properly certified to as such by the County Clerk, at the place of holding County Court and also at three public places in the vicinity of said accepted county roads, thirty (30) days previous to the consideration of this Resolution by the County Court, notifying all persons concerned that said Resolution will be considered and passed upon by this Court at a meeting on the 6th day of September, 1967. IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: The Court at this time ordered that a refund of taxes in the amount of $18.18 be made to Ann M. Garcia by F. C. Sholes, Tax Collector, as she paid on the wrong property. There being no further business, Court adjourned. Plummer, Deschutes County Roadmaster, being first duly sworn, depose and say that on July 28, 1967, my duly qualified deputy, Donald R.
