A permit is granted by Deschutes County to the City of Redmond
to install a 10" water pipe lineon or across Deschutes County right-of-way. A de-
Yailed description and map of this operation must be provided on the reverse side of
thir= sheet. This permit is subject to the following general specifications and is
rev.zca.ble at any time upon written rotice by the Deschutes County Court.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR PARTICULAR INSTALLATIONS
nstallir~g PiRe_Line Parallel: 10" steel water pipe line All pipe lines running
parallel wi.h the read shall be in the existing ditch line, or no less than three
(3) feet frr,a the edge of the existing pavement edge. All pipe lines must be in-
stalled to a depth to be no less than two (2) feet and properly b2.ckfilled to the
^ri gin:a.l grade line and with iahsth-3ttA*k ohotoi,tYiordrai7gage area. Permittee shall
be resp-nsible for any ear all damages to the existing pavement, and shoulders or
o±?Zer cbjects or areas within the right-of-way.
Int .l'i..pi P-i.oe Line Transverse: All pipe line installations
laid~trar.:v3rscly to the rowd bed or right-ef way shall be installed in the following
manner: cll pavement cuts prior to excavation shall be madb-'frith inbthaking hammer
so as to insure neat finish cut lines. All pipe lines shall lee installed to a depth
s'L n^ less thaa two (2) feet below the existing roadside ditch elevation. In all
cares w1jere a water line is installed in a transverse direction the water pipe must
be instf.._ ed within a larger pipe which size shall be no less than six (6) inches in
dia.rr. ;ter. 15 wckfilling and Pavia: The permittee shall be required to properly back.-
fili. the trench in such a manner as to guarantee a well compacted, stabilized sub-
base to paving. The pavement must be replaced tc its original line, crown,
and gra,,e w.i.th an asphalt mixture to conform with the surrounding road bed. The
area - installation must be kept smooth for the traveling public at all times. The
rermittee ;ill be required at all times to take every precaution to prrtect the
t_ravelirg public. All signs and traffic controls shall be furnished by the permit-
'n regard t-^ ether utility installations, such as gas lines, telephone lines, and
electric c-nduits, all the general specifications shall apply if they are td be run
under ground, with e-ne exception: It would nit be necessary to have these lines
Y~lthin a larger pipe when crossing the right-of-way.

This matter coming before the Court upon the petition of the City of
Redmond, requesting permission to install a ten inch (1011) steel water
pipe line in Township 15, Range 13 E. W. M. more particular described
as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of the NENW} of
Section 15, Township 15, Range 13 E. W. M., which oint is fourteen
(14) feet south of the northwest corner of said NE~NW~: thence, east
along a line parallel to and fourteen (14) feet from the north line of
said NEW4 a distance of 1320 feet.
