9-14-Ordinance Recorded 12/18/1963,VOL 14 INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE: The Deschutes County Planning Compi6sion•having requested the Deschutes County Court to adopt an interim zoning ordinance for a certain designated area :within Deschutes County.. to-wit. The area one-half mile wide between the south city limits of Redmond and the north city limits of Bend, being a quarter of a, mile on each side of Highway 97, and; 'WHEREAS, the Court is fully advised in the premises, and `)[HEREAS, the Court has duly considered the said request, and WHEREAS, the Court considers the request for an interim ordinance, for the said property, to be neeeesary to insure that the purposes a-ad objectives of the proposed land use ordinance will be benefited by the adoption of an interim land use ordinance. NOTE,' THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED That an interim land use ordinance be hereby adopted to.apply to the said described land as follows: C-3 GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE DESCHUTES COUNTY ORDINANCE # 1. Section 71. Principal Used Permitted Grutright. The following principal uses are permitted outright in a C-3 zone: (1) Any principal or conditional use permitted in .a C-1.zo0e. (2)" Appliance sales or serviee. Conditional Uses Pexn%,ttesi., the 'fQl lowi ng uses are permit- ted in a C-3-zone when authorized in accordance with the requirements of Sections 118 to 125. "(1) Drive-in theater. (2.} < Dwelling, single or multi-family in accordance with the esquire-- ments of the &-5A zone. . (3) Veterinary hospital office;'or anal hospital. Section 73 , La' cessor5r Uses Pgoitted, The following accessory uses are permitted in a C-3 zone: (1) . Uses incidental ' to the uses permitted in ; a C-3 zone, (2) Signs other than a billboard, are permitted as `follows: (a) For residential uses, signs as permitted in an R-5A zone, .(b) For commercial and conditional uses, any sign, provided that no sign shall be located less than 20 feet from a lot in a residential zone or less than 50 feet from a school premise or a public park. Section 74. Conditions for Allowing Uses n`a C~3 .Zone. All uses permitted in a C-3 zone shall-be subject to the following conditions: (1) All business, service repair, processing, storage, or merchandise display shall be conducted'wholly,within an enclosed building except (a) Off--street parking or loading, (b) Windows for drive-in service. (e) Fuel sales.
