DESCHUTES COUNTY CURFEW ORDINANCE
Section I. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 18 years
to loiter, idle or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads,
alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, or
public buildings, places of amusement or entertainment, vacant lots or
other unsupervised places between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. of the
following day,®n the days of Sunday through Thursday, inclusive: and be-
tween the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 a.m. of the following day on each Friday
and Saturday night of each week or on nights proceeding recognized holidays.
Provided, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to a
minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person
having the care and custody of the minor or where the minor is upon an
emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent,
guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
Section II. Penalties. (1) All law enforcement officers within the county
are charged with the enforcement of this ordinance. (2) All offenders
under this ordinance shall come within the provision of Oregon Revised
Statute, Chapter 419 and matters concerning jurisdicition, procedure, penalty
and disposition, shall come within the provision of Oregon Revised Statute,
Chapter 1119, which statute is, in all applicable provisions, incorporated herein.
