IN THE MATTE OF LEASING COUNTY OWNED LANDS: The Court leased Walter and Agnes Bowman the S2NEn, SEA, E2SW , SW4SW1, Sec. 36, Twp. 19 S."'. 16 F.W.P. and all of W1 North of Bend-Burns Highway. except Tax Lot 300, NF SFl, 71NF1, Sec. 1, and NF1SF4, SE E-4, Sec. 2, Twp 20 S.R. 16 E.W.M. containing 868.92 acres at 5¢ per acre. Term of lease Jan. 1, 1965 to Dec. 31, 1965. -3- VU 9 ►a293 IN THE MATTER OF INFORMATION SIGN: At this time the Court renewed an agreement with Willard Fix for the erection of an information sign on right-of-way of old Highway 97 at a rental of $15.00 per year. IN THE MATTER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION: The Court at this time affirmed the following appointments and tenure of the Deschutes County Planning Commission: James Keller to Dec. 31, 1967 J. Otto Lindh to Dec. 31, 1968 George McKinnon to Oct. 1, 1966 Chet Myers to Dec. 31, 1967 Del Davis to Oct. 1, 1965 L. A. Phipps to Nov. 1, 1966 Don Conners to Dec. 31, 1968 IN THE MA TTER OF APPOIN MENTS FOR 1965: The Court at this time appointed: Charles Plummer as Deschutes County Roadmaster for 1965 William C. James as Deschutes County Civil Defense Director and Director of Office of Emergency Planning Hobert Starr as Deschutes County Veteran Officer and Robert Martin as Deschutes County Representative for Abundant Foods IN THE MATTER OF DFSCHUTES COUNTY FAIR BOARD: The Court at this time affirmed the appointment and tenure of the Deschutes County Fair Board: Ellis Fdgington - April 1, 1966 Priday Holmes - Jan. 1, 1967 Lowell Hirtzel - Jan. 1, 1968 Roy Newell - Jan. 1, 1967 D. W. Miltenberger - Apr. 1, 1969 IN THE MATTER OF DESIGNATION OF NWPA PERS FOR 1965: The Court designated the Redmond Spokesman and The Bulletin as official- newspapers for Deschutes County for 1965. IN THE MATTER OF BUDGET ADVISORY COMMITTEE: The Court at this time verified the appointment and tenure of the Budget Advisory Committee: Robert Whittier - May 1, 1965 Priday Holmes - Jan. 1, 1968 John Stenkamp - Jan. 1, 1967 IN THE MATTER OF JURY LIST FOR 1965: The Court at this time selected the Jury list for 1965. - 4 - a 9 2% IN THE MATTER OF REFUND OF TAXES: The Court ordered the Tax Collector to make the following refund of taxes: First National Bank, Bend $479-48 Equitable Savings & Loan 172.53 IN THE MATTER OF PURCHASE OF LAND: At this time the Court voted unanimously to buy Lot 3, Block 5, North Addition, and the Clerk was ordered to issue a warrant to Franciscan Capuchin Order of the Diocese of Baker City for $1171.67 and a warrant in the sum of $28.33 to F. C. Sholes for taxes. IN THE MA TTER OF ROAD DEPARTMENT BUILDING: At this time the Court approved a steel building for the Road Deparment at a cost of $5000.00. IN THE MATTER OF PURCHASE OF AN ARTIC CAT: At this time the Court unanimously voted to purchase Artic Cat Model 450 DF, 10 H.P., 770 lbs. for a price of $1580.00 F.O.B. Bend. Warrant to be drawn from Road Department. IN THE MATTER OF CANCELLATION OF SHERIFF"S ACCOUNT: A motion was made and seconded to write off the account of $500.00 due to the Road Department from the Sheriff's Department. IN THE MATTER OF FUEL BIDS: At this time the Court authorized the Clerk to call for gas, oil, diesel and fuel oil bids for Ethyl 25,000 gal. (90 Octane or better) 1009000 gal. gas 35,000 gal. diesel 250 bbls. light domestic fuel oil bids to be opened Feb. 3, 1965.
