BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Oregon revised Statutes 198.775
(2), a ,petition with the required number of signatures has been filed with the Deschutes
County Board of Commissioners resolving that proceedings to annex certain territory
located in Deschutes County, Oregon more particularly described as follows, be initiated:
The West Half of Section 22, and the West Half of
Section 27, all in Township 17 South, Range 13 E.1H.M.,
excluding therefrom any public land, Deschutes County,
Oregon.
This action has the approval of the hoard of Directors of Rural Fire Protection
District No. 2.
Section 11. On the 19th day of October 1977 at 10:00 a.m. at the Deschutes
County Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon Conference Room A, a Hearing will be held by
the Deschutes County Commissioners for the purpose of receiving any protests to the
proposed annexation by any interested persons. All interested persons may appear and
be heard.
Section I11. The petitioners desire to annex said property to Rural Fire
Protection District No. 2 for the following reasons:
The territory is contiguous to the present district boundaries. The
proposed annexation will contribute to the orderly growth and development of both
the district and the territory proposed to be annexed.

notice of said Hearing in at least three public places and published by two insertions
in a newpaper of general circulation within the area to be annexed.
Section. V. Approval of the Resolution for annexation by the Deschutes
County Commissioners as presented or modified will result in an order being entered
so declaring and fixing a plane and time not less than 20 nor more than 50 days after
the date of the order for a Final Hearing on the Resolution. The order shall declare
that if written requests for an election are not filed in accordance with ORS 198.910
(2), the Cofivlissioners will at: the time of the Final Hearing enter their order author-
izing the proposed annexation.
