N2 1 BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Purauant to the provisions of Oregon Revised Statutes (98.775 (2), a petition with the required number of signatures has been faked with the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners resolving that proceedings to annex certain territory located in Deschutes County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows, be initiated: S } Section 2 and SWa SW of Section 1, Township 18, Range 13, East of the Williamette Meridian. This action has the approval of the Board of Directors of Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District No. 2. Section i. On the 19thday of February, 1975 at 10:OG a. m. at the Deschutes County Courtnouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, Commissioners Conference Room A, a Hearing will he held by the Deschutes Co. Commissioners for the purpose of receiving any protests to the proposed annexation by any interested persons. All interested persons may appear and be heard. Section ill. The petitioners desire to annex said property to Rural Fire Protection District No. 2 for the following reasons: The territory is contiguous to the present district boundaries. The proposed annexation will contribute to the orderly growth and development of both the district and the territory proposed to be annexed. There are a considerable number of homes within the area of proposod annexation which wH i be benefited. Section IV. The Deschutes County Commissioners will cause to be posted this notice of said hearing in at least three public places and published by two insertions in a newspaper of general circulation within the area to be annexed. Section V. Approval of the Resolution for annexation by the Deschutes County Commissioners as presented or modified wild result in an Order peing entered so declaring and fixing a place and time not less than 20 nor more than 50 days after the date of the Order for a final hearing on the Resolution. The Order shall declare that if written requests for an election are not filed in accordance with 0. R. S. 198.810 (2), the Commissioners will at the time of the final hearing enter their Order authorizing the proposed annexation. J Approved this 22nd day of January, 1475.
