BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Oregon Revised
Statutes 198.755 (2), a petition with the required number of signatures
has been filed with the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners resolving
that proceedings to annex certain territory located in Deschutes County,
Oregon, more particularly described as follows, be initiated:
All Sections 10, II, 14, 15, 22, 23, 26, 27, 34 and 35 and the
W ;W¢ of Sec. 12, 13, 24, and 25 all in Township 16 S., Range 11 E., W.M.
This action has the approval of the Board of Directors of Deschutes
County Rural Fire Protection District No. 2.
Section 1I. On the 15th day of May, 1974, at 10:00 a.m.
at the Deschutes County Courthouse Annex, Bend, Oregon, a Hearing will
be held by the Deschutes County Commissioners for the purpose of receiving
any protests to the proposed annexation by any interested persons. All
interested persons may appear and be heard.
Section ill. The petitioners desire to annex said property
to Rural Fire Protection District No, 2 for the following reasons:
The territory is contiguous to the present district boundaries. The
proposed annexation will contribute to the orderly growth and development
of both the district and the territory proposed to be annexed. There
are a considerable number of homes within the area of proposed annexation
which will be benefited.
Section IV. The Deschutes County Commissioners will cause to
be posted this notice of said hearing in at least three public places
and published by two insertions in a newspaper of general circulation
within the area to be annexed.
Section V. Approval of the Resolution for annexation by the
Deschutes County Commissioners as presented or modified will result in
an Order being entered so declaring and fixing a place and time not
less than 20 ror more than 50 days after the date of the Order for a
final hearing on the Resolution. The Order shall declare that if
written requests for an election are not filed in accordance with O.R.S.
198.810 (2), the Commissioners will at the time of the final hearing
enter their Order authorizing the proposed annexation.
