15-194-Order Recorded 12/15/1971BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY In the Matter of Special Road District Deschutes County 15 M4 1Ja I I.5 ( Iqq ORDER AUTHORIZING TAX LEVY TO BE CERTIFIED TO THE COUNTY ASSESSOR WHEREAS, Special Road District No. 1 was established by Order of the Board of Commissioners on October 5, 1971, nunc pro tune August 4, 1971, having the following exterior boundary: Starting at the northernmost portion of Lot 1, Block 2 of Unit 1 situated in the NWl/4 Section 7, Township 20 South, Range 11 East of the Willamette Meridian and proceeding West along the South boundary of the Spring River Road to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 23 of Unit 3 situated in the NE1/4 Section 12, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence South to the Northeast corner of Lot 17, Block 23 of Unit 5 situated in the NW1/4 Section 12, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence West to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 38 of Unit 5 situated in the NW1/4 Section 12, Township 20 South, Rangel0 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence South to the Southernmost portion of Lot 27, Block 31 of Unit 5 situated in the SW1/4 Section 12, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence East to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 53 of Part 1 of Unit 9 situated in the NE1/4 Section 13, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence South to the Northwest corner of Lot 27, Block 53 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the NE1/4 Section 13, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence West to the Westernmost portion of Lot 39, Block 53 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the SW1/4 Section 13, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence South to the Southernmost portion of Lot 63, Block 53 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the SW1/4 Section 13, Town- ship 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence East to the Southernmost point of Lot 80, Block 53 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the SEI/4 Section 13, Township 20 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian where it abuts the Deschutes River thence following the course of the Deschutes River and including all lots abutting said river to the Easternmost portion of Lot 9, Block 61 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the SW1/4 Section 18, Township 20 South, Range 11 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence North to the North - easternmost point of Lot 57, Block 41 of Part 2 of Unit 9 situated in the SW1/4 Section 18, Township 20 South, Range 11 East of the Willamette Meridian then following the course of the Deschutes River and including all lots abutting said river to the Southeasternmost portion of the Recreation Area and Boat Dock Facility of Unit 2 situated in the SW1/4 Section 7, Township 20 South, Range 11 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence North to the Northeast corner of the East half of lot 9, Block 3 of Unit 1 situated in the NW1/4 Section 7, Township 20 South, Range 11 East of the Willamette Meridian, thence following the course of the Deschutes River and including all ^P image 1 - McKAY, PANNER, JOHNSON, MARCEAU & KARNOPP ORDER ATTORNEYS AT LAW BEND, OREGON 97701 and 161 I� [45 abutting said river to the starting; point, nares'-] �, the Northernmost portion of Lot 1, Block 2 of Unit 1 situated in the NW1/4 Section 7, Township 20 South, Ran c° 11 East of the Willamette Meridian, WHEREAS, a Special Election was held within Special Road District No. 1, Deschutes County, Oregon, on the 9th day of Decrmmber, 1971, on the question of whether the Board of Commis - loner, -of such Special Road District should levy a tax in the amount of $9,750 for the fiscal year 1972-73 to provide funds for defraying expenses for the establishment, equipment, and maintenance of the district, with the maximum rate of levy to be $2.50 per $1,000 of true cash value of taxable property, and WHEREAS, such Special Election was duly held within said Special Road District No. 1 on December 9, 1971, and upon the canvass of such vote, it appears that a majority of the votes cast at the Special Election was in favor of the levy of the tax, said vote being 54 votes Yes and 11 votes No, and the County Clerk has informed the Commission of the result of the election, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the tax levy authorized at said election, the sum of $9,750 with a maximum rate of levy to be $2.50 per $1,000 true cash value of taxable property be certified to the County Assessor for Deschutes County for extension upon the next assessment roll of the county against the property within Special Road District No. 1 having the exterior boundary described above.
