The intent behind the funds was to encourage Officers to focus on each youth's strengths in order to find the best avenue to reducing the likelihood of the occurrence of a reoffense. Plans are submitted and reviewed by the Resource Development Team (RDT), a multidisciplinary team of professionals serving high risk youth. Since its inception, flex funds have been spent on a variety of treatments and professional services ranging from polygraphs to participation fees for athletic programs in local schools. The most costly expense, although shared with the Central and Eastern Oregon Juvenile Justice Consortium (CEOJJC), is the treatment of our growing juvenile sex offender population. JCJ FLEX 2004-05 m Sex Offender m Counseling ci Psych Eval m Substance Abuse m Other As of December 31, 2004, 98% of the budgeted funds have either been spent or encumbered. An additional $ 10,000 would greatly benefit our department in reaching the end of this fiscal year without severely limiting any of the available resources offered to the youth that we serve. We appreciate you taking the time to review our request. Next year, we will make it a priority to increase the dollars allocated to the Flexible Spending Pool as we attempt to continue offering the most suitable resources our community has to offer. -jac Quality Services Performed with Pride Document Reproduces Poorly (Archived)
