WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2005
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend
Present were Commissioners Michael M Daly, Tom De Wo�fand Dennis R. Luke.
Alsopresent were Mike Maier, County Administrator; andDan Peddycord, Health
Department. No representatives of the media or other citizens were present.
The meeting began at 3:30p.m.
A general discussion took place regarding agenda items submitted by Mr.
Peddycord, including an overview of the Fiscal Year 2005-06 budget and goals for
his Department. (See the attached copy ofthe agenda) He indicated that there is a
need for an additional $260,000 above the base amount.
A lengthy discussion took place regarding goals for the Department. They asked
that the goals be rewritten so that they realistically fit into the proposed budget.
The group then discussed supporting a contract with the Sunriver Owners
Association regarding vector control services. The Commissioners indicated one
more year would be appropriate, in the hope that current legislation will allow the
Association to contract in the future. This item will come before the Board so they
can take formal action on the one-year contract.
Being nofurther items addressed, the meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
