Wolfe, ENP Sent: Friday, February 18, 2005 12:30 PM To: Marty Wynne Cc: Kathleen DeForrest Subject: ONCE AGAIN M a rty, I have been directed by the E -Board to hire a consultant to do a future strategic / business plan. Again, this is not in the budget, but they wanted it done this year, so we could begin planning financially for the next budget year and what we need to do in terms of long range planning for a levy which would start this fall.. Anyway, that said, I have sent out an RFP and got back about 10 bids. I am doing the review work this afternoon to select a vendor. The 3 lowest bids were under 30,000.00. So, based on that information, I need to have ONCE AGAIN; money moved to the contract service line of 30,000.00 in order to pay for the consultant. Please let me know if there are any problems with this request before I move much more forward. As always, I appreciate your assistance in this matter. This budget year will be over soon, and then I can take full responsibility for things that were not put in!! Have a great weekend Best regards, Laura Wolfe, ENP Director Deschutes County 9-1-1 Service District (541) 389-5663 ext 2303 fax (541) 382-5767 63333 Highway 20 W Bend, Oregon 97701 3/2/2005
