Deschutes County Board of Commissioners 1300 NW Wall St., Bend, OR 97701-1960 (541) 388-6570 - Fax (541) 385-3202 - www.deschutes.org MINUTES OF DEPARTMENT UPDATE — COMMISSION ON CHILDREN & FAMILIES DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 2005 Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend Present were Commissioners Michael M Daly, Tom De Wolfand Dennis R. Luke. Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; Susan Ross, Commissioners' Office; and Julie Lyche and Hillary Saraceno, Commission on Children & Families. No representatives of the media or other citizens were present. The meeting began at 3: 00 p. m. A copy ofthe agenda and some backup documentation is attachedfor reference. A general discussion took place regarding the makeup of leadership and the Board of the Commission on Children & Families. A lengthy review of the CC&F goals for Fiscal Year 2004-05 and the proposed goals for Fiscal Year 2005-06 took place. The Commissioners were not prepared to approve the requested budget for Fiscal Year 2005-06. Instead, they want to see the current funding level sustained, even considering one-time funds. On another issue, Ms. Saraceno will set up a meeting of the Commissioners and representatives of Progama de Ayuda to discuss the program and its future in detail.
