WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2005
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend
Present were Commissioners Michael M. Daly, Tom De Wolf and Dennis R. Luke.
Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; and Becky Wanless, Parole
& Probation Department. No representatives of the media or other citizens were
present. The meeting began at 1:45 p.m.
The following items were discussed (see agenda and backup documentation, attached):
• Preliminary Department budget for FY 2005-06
• Follow-up statistics from the February meeting
• Saturday neighborhood clean-up efforts
• ORS 173.308, Assessment Funds (Department of Corrections' inquiry)
• Weapons poster
No formal action was taken. The meeting adjourned at 2: 00 p.m.

Space Availability
Adult Probation and Parole 7,400 NSF

Total Occupied Area 18,600 NSF
Existing Conditions
Description: The Adult Corrections Building is a two-story structure originally constructed in
1998. It is a frame structure with Class PB Dryvit on exterior walls and a Hypalon roof.
Ownership: County of Deschutes
Site Acreage: Approximately 380,000 square feet or 8.72 acres
Contiguous County-owned Site Availability: This building is one of six buildings which
comprise the Sheriffs Public Safety Campus.
On-site Parking: There are 75 parking stalls, of which 25 are reserved for official use.
Useful Life: The Adult Community Corrections Building is relatively new and exceptionally well
maintained. Its useful life has been estimated by Deschutes County to extend beyond the 20-
year planning timeframe of this study.
Zoning and Development Constraints
Site Zoning/Land Use: Site zoned IL - Light Industrial
Building Height Limitations: No building or structure shall exceed a height of 35 feet without
a Conditional Use Permit.
Building/Land Coverage: There are no minimum or maximum lot coverage requirements for
this zone.
