Ms. Sladek has given notice that she is taking on other responsibilities within the Mental Health Department which leaves our Wellspring Program (BRS) in the Resource Center without a mental health specialist, a BRS program requirement. This position is reflected in our 2005-2006 budget. We respectfully request that instead of contracting with the Mental Health Department for the services of a MHS2, the Juvenile Department add one FTE and hire the new employee directly. We will continue to pay the new employee with the funds already appropriated in this year's budget. Attached is the position cost estimate for the remainder of this fiscal year as prepared by Teri Maerki.
