Daly and Dennis R. Luke. Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; Laurie Craghead, Legal Counsel; David Givans, Commissioners' Office; Peter Gutowsky, Community Development; media representatives Barney Lerten of News Channel 21, Ryan Cambridge of KBND Radio, and Lily Raff of The Bulletin; and five other citizens. Chair De Wolf opened the meeting at 10: 00 a. m. 1. Before the Board was Citizen Input. None was offered. 2. Before the Board was Consideration of Chair Signature of Document No. 2005-385, a Grant Agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regarding Groundwater Sampling in Near -Stream Environments of the Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers. Peter Gutowsky briefly explained the grant, which is a separate grant from the appropriation grant previously enacted. This grant is outside of the federal earmark. LUKE: Move approval. DALY: Second. Before the Board was a Public Hearing, and Consideration of Signature of Order No. 2005-106, Approving the Tweedfam Investments, LLC Annexation into Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District No. 2. Laurie Craghead stated that this action would annex several properties into the District. The properties are located off Bull Springs Road and the Sisters Mainline Road; 100% of landowners have signed the petition, so no election is required. Chair DeWolf opened the public hearing. Miles Conway, a legal representative of the petitioners, declined to testify since there was no opposition offered. Ms. Craghead stated that notices were posted in appropriate areas and published in the newspaper, and a letter from Community Development indicating it complies. Ms. Craghead said she needs to submit a corrected map, which is a minor change required by the Department of Revenue. Chair DeWolf opened the public hearing.
