Although there will be only about 8 months in which the FTE will work in 2005/06, we would like to budget the annual figure of salary and benefits for the position, which when adjusted by any COLA and step increase will better approximate the 2006/07 cost of this FTE, and thus avoiding a shortfall in funds related to this position when submitting our 2006/07 budget. (Tom was out of town at the time) It's grant funded and we are piloting a project to divert people from Sage View when appropriate to avoid uncessary secure placements and contain costs. IT'S A CRITICAL PROJECT for the county. We are using a portion of new grant funds ($225,000/year) to cover the costs. We are preparing a resolution for Marty to share with the BOCC as part of this process. Since we have support, I'd ask that we post the position in the Bulletin this week (you should have the paperwork) since time is of the essence. Thanks.
