The position will exist through 6/30/07, with the existing revenue source running out by that time. I believe Scott has already received Mike Maier's verbal authorization to recruit this position. Our goal is to advertise the position by 10/29/05. Marty is also aware that we are pursing this new position, and assuming my info is accurate in the attached spreadsheet, he will be creating a Resolution using the data in the attached doc to take before the Commissioners'. And yes, this is almost the same exact thing we are doing with the MHS2 Full-time temp position we created about 1-2 weeks ago. Please see attached spreadsheet with request to move 2005/06 appropriated Materials & Services funds to Personnel Services to cover the cost of adding a 1.0 MHS1 position to our 2005/06 budget. Although there will be only about 7-8 months in which the FTE will work in 2005/06, we would like to budget the annual figure of salary and benefits for the position, which when adjusted by any COLA and step increase will better approximate the 2006/07 cost of this FTE, and thus avoiding a shortfall in funds related to this position when submitting our 2006/07 budget.
