DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, JULY 259 2005
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend
Present were Commissioners Michael M. Daly, Tom De Wolf and Dennis R. Luke.
Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; and Mike Dugan, District
Attorney's Office. No representatives of the media or other citizens were present.
The meeting began at 9:00 a.m.
Among the items discussed were budget issues and the relocation of the
department after remodeling is completed.
A copy of the agenda detailing other items addressed is attached as Exhibit A. No
formal action was taken by the Board.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.

• Kelly is a probationary employee who is due to have her first child on September 5,
2005. She does not qualify under State or Federal Law for the family leave
program and does not have sufficient accrued time management to be off work for
any period of time.

a. District Attorney state budget was passed by both the House and Senate. It
appropriate $8,853.716 for the payment of district attorney expenses
(salaries).
b. DAS, Department of Administrative Services, restructured the salary
schedules for district attorneys in the state.
1. counties with population over 100,000;
2. all other counties; except
3. three part time district attorneys
Category 1 county district attorneys will be paid approximately $90,000.00 per year.
Category 2 county district attorneys will be paid approximately $76,000.00 per year.
Category 3 part time district attorneys will be paid approximately $52,000.00 per year.
