MINUTES OF DEPARTMENT UPDATE — SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT
DESC1 UTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WEDNESDAY, JULY 139 2005
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend
Present were Commissioners Michael M. Daly, Tom De Wolf and Dennis R. Luke.
Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; David Givans,
Commissioners' Office; and Timm Schimke, Solid Waste Department. Also present
were several representatives of local hauling and recycling firms and a
representative of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. No
representatives of the media were present. The meeting began at 2:15 p. m.
A copy of the agenda is attached for reference.
A discussion took place regarding automatic collection rate increases. The Board
asked Mr. Schimke to work with Finance to determine if proposed rate increases
are in line with established guidelines, and then report back to the Board.
No formal Board action was taken.
Being no further items addressed, the meeting adjourned at 3: 00 p.m.
