MINUTES OF DEPARTMENT UPDATE — ROAD DEPARTMENT
DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2005
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St..., Bend
Present were Commissioners Tom DeWolf, Michael M. Daly and Dennis R. Luke.
Also present were Mike Maier, County Administrator; Joe Studer, County
Forester; Tom Blust, George Kolb and Roger Olson of the Road Department; and
five other citizens. No representatives of the media were present. The meeting
began at 1: 00 p. m.
A number of issues were discussed, per the attached agenda.
The Board directed Tom Blust to provide estimates of the cost and timing for
issues related to Gribbling Road. Mr. Blust will schedule a future meeting to keep
the Board apprised.
Being no further items addressed, the meeting adjourned at 1: 40 p.m.

1) Gribbling Road — meeting with area residents to discuss code enforcement and road
issues. (Scheduled for 1:00 p.m.)
2) Discussion regarding meetings with the City of Bend Public Works Department related to
shared services.
3) Wimp Way — upcoming joint ODOT/County public meeting in Terrebonne to discuss
safety issues and possible access closure (scheduled for Oct. 20th)
4) Discussion regarding Department's entrance sign off 27th Street.
5) Additions to Agenda:
"Enhancing the lives of citizens by delivering quality services in a cost-effective manner. "
