Thanks, Mlke. From: Greg Canfield Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 4:02 PM To: Marty Wynne Cc: Judi Hasse; Loretta Gertsch; Mike Maier; Scott Johnson; Lori Hill; Karen Tamminga Subject: MH Resolution request for .75 FTE Hi Marty, Please see attached spreadsheet with request to increase 2005/06 State contract revenue and Personnel Services expenditures to budget for the addition of adding a 0.75 MHS2 position to our 2005/06 budget. Mike Maier has given Scott the green light to begin the recruitment for this position. The commissioner's have also approved the additional FTE, today in fact, but will not likely sign the resolution until 1) They have the formal resolution from your office, and 2) They have the OK from Mike Maier. So basically they approved the FTE addition subject to Mike's final approval. So you will not need to take this resolution before the BOCC, just to Mike so he can give to Bonnie to obtain signature's. Although there will be only about 5 months in which the FTE will work in 2005/06, we would like to budget the annual figure of salary and benefits and corresponding revenue for the position, which when adjusted by any COLA and step increase will better approximate the 2006/07 cost of this FTE, and thus avoiding a shortfall in funds related to this position when submitting our 2006/07 budget. Please let me know if you have questions. DHS will finalize a contract with us providing the necessary funding. I understand the Commissioners assigned this to you for a decision. Please know we did speak to a senior staff person at DHS and have been assured the funding for this project will continue and is tied to essential work and other grant funds. So, with you permission, I would ask that Personnel post this announcement. The contract will be finalized for signature. Let me know if this is OK and we will proceed based on your direction. Tracy, if Mike approves, could you still get this in Sunday's papers please? Thanks.
