Subject: Supplemental Budget
As we discussed, this is what I would like to include in the supplemental budget you are preparing:
Fund 442
442-0800-491-9610 Miscellaneous Transfers Out Appropriate $300,000
442-0000-301-00 Beginning Net Working Capital Increase by $300,000
Fund 127
127-0000-391-5000 Interfund Transfers In - Other Budget $100,000 (from 442)
127-0000-334-2300 State Government Grants - CDBG Budget $600,000
127-0000-365-1100 Donations Budget $250,000
Total Add[ Resources 127 $950,000
127-0800-419-9220 New Construction Increase by $950,000
Reasons for the supplemental budget request:
1. Marty wants all costs for senior center construction to come out of the 127 fund instead of being split between
127 and 110, which is the way I currently have it budgeted. Therefore, the $600,000 of State Government Grants
is going to be appropriated in 127 instead of 110.
2. The Board has approved a County contribution of $100,000 toward the senior center project. Instead of using
up the existing appropriation that is available, I would rather appropriate the $100,000 transfer through the
supplemental process plus add $200,000 to the transfer out line as a cushion for future transfers that may be
necessary this year.
3. We are expecting additional funds from the La Pine Senior Center to contribute toward the construction
project, so we need an additional $250,000 of resources in fund 127.
The total of these 3 explanations results in $950,000 of additional appropriation for the construction line. Please
let me know if you have any questions.
