MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2006
Commissioners' Conference Room - Administration Building - 1300 NW Wall St.., Bend
Present were Commissioners Bev Clarno, Michael M. Daly and Dennis R. Luke.
Also present were County Administrator Mike Maier; Mark Amberg Bell, Legal
Counsel; and Chris Barker of The Bulletin.
The meeting began at 3:25 p.m., following an executive session that had been
called under ORS 192.660(1) (h), pending or threatened litigation.
Regarding Stacey vs. Deschutes County:
CLARNO: Move that Legal Counsel be authorized to defend and indemnify
named employees.
DALY: Second.
VOTE: DALY: Yes.
CLARNO: Aye.
LUKE: Chair votes yes.
Regarding Olsen vs. Deschutes County, et al:
CLARNO: Move that Legal Counsel be authorized to file a petition for review of
the Appellant Court decision.
DALY: Second.
VOTE: DALY: Yes.
CLARNO: Aye.
LUKE: Chair votes yes.

Regarding the McCullough grievance:
LUKE: Move that the amended letter of reprimand stand.
DALY: Second.
VOTE: DALY: Yes.
CLARNO: Aye.
LUKE: Chair votes yes.
LUKE: Move that the Board's original decision be upheld.
The motion died for lack of a second.
Being no further action taken or items addressed, the meeting ended at
3: 40 p. m.
