Luke; Commissioner Michael M. Daly was out of the office. Also present were County Administrator Mike Maier; and Mark Pilliod, Legal Counsel. No representatives of the media were present. The meeting began at 11: 00 a. m., following an executive session that had been called under ORS 192.660(1) (e), real estate transactions. The possible purchase of the former State Farm Insurance Company property located near the Sheriff's Office was discussed. CLARNO: Move that the County negotiate the possible purchase of the State Farm Insurance building, subject to appraisal. LUKE: Second. VOTE: CLARNO: Aye. LUKE: Chair votes yes. CLARNO: Move that the County negotiate with the State regarding a possible new building to house the Oregon State Police, 9-1-1, the crime lab and the morgue. LUKE: Second. VOTE: CLARNO: Aye.
