Thanks. Dave -----Original Message ----- From: Marty Wynne Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2006 4:50 PM To: Dave Kanner Cc: Bev Clarno; Dennis Luke; Mike Daly; Daniel Peddycord; Teri Maerki Subject: FY 2006-07 Adopted Budget Dave, I talked to Dan Peddycord regarding the discussions he had with Commissioners Bev Clarno and Dennis Luke subsequent to the Budget Committee's approval of the FY 06-07 Budget. He mentioned that both commissioners told him that they were OK with hiring the Public Health Nurse position, but that the funding should come from his department's resources (contingency). As was mentioned at the Board meeting, this change was not incorporated into the Adopted Budget. As a result, I would recommend that in July a resolution be prepared that would reduce the "transfer from the General Fund" to the Health Department Fund, with a corresponding decrease in the Health Department contingency. There would be a corresponding reduction in the General Fund "transfer out" to the Health Department, with an equivalent increase in the General Fund contingency. Because the appropriation for the Public Health Nurse position was approved in the Adopted Budget, there is nothing that needs to be done regarding the appropriation for the position. Unless I hear otherwise, we will prepare the resolution with the changes mentioned in the first paragraph, for July approval. Marty 1
