BEFORE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
An Order Designating Certain Real
Property as a County Park to be Used
Exclusively for Public Purposes.
ORDER NO. 2006-102
WHEREAS, Deschutes County owns property described as the Deschutes County Fair and Expo
Center located on Airport Way in Redmond, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, Deschutes County desires to maintain a portion of this property for public park
purposes; and
WHEREAS, ORS 275.320 provides that Deschutes County may designate County owned lands
as public parks; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that the preservation and protection of
certain County owned real properties for public access and recreation is in the public interest; now,
therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That certain real property, described as a parcel of land containing 9.82 acres, more
or less, described in Exhibit "A," be designated as a County Park for public purposes, pursuant to
ORS 275.320.
Section 2. That said real property be retained in public ownership and managed to the extent
feasible for the enhancement of public access and recreation.

A parcel of land located in the southwest one-quarter of Section 28, Township 15 South, Range 13
East, Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon, as shown on the attached map and fully
described as follows:
Commencing at a 3-1/4" aluminum cap marking the southwest corner of said Section 28; thence along
the south boundary of said southwest one-quarter of Section 28, South 89°56'57" East 30.00 feet to the
easterly right-of-way of 19th Street and the point of beginning for this description; thence along said
easterly right-of-way, North 00°09'42" West 1,328.82 feet; thence leaving said right-of-way, North
89050' 18" East 23.49 feet; thence 1,742.00 feet along the arc of a 1,281.00 foot radius curve left (the
long chord of which bears South 38°58'58" East 1,610.84 feet); thence South 00°03'03" West 77.63
feet to said south boundary of the southwest one-quarter of Section 28; thence North 89°56'57" West
1,033.03 feet to the point of beginning; contains 9.82 acres.
