Attendance: Commissioners, Albert Young, W. F. SchinKel, and Joe
Peden; Dave Hoerning, Charles Plummer, r. C. Sholes, W. Lester
Houck, Joseph J. Thalhofer, Lorin Morgan, Sheridan Fannestock and
Jack Thornton.
Chairman Young called meeting to order at 10:00 am. The
first item on the agenda was the petition for annexation to Rural Fire
Protection District #2. It was moved and carried that Sept. 18, 1974
at 10:00 am be set for a Hearing for the purpose of receiving any
protests to the proposed annexation by any interested persons.
Next on the agenda the following Zone Change requests were
approved: Zone Change request from R-I, Urban Residential and A-1-40,
Exclusive Agriculture 40 acre parcels, to A-1-10, Exclusive Agriculture
with 10 acre parcels, for Brooks Resources. Zone Change request from R-1,
Urban Residential and A-I, Exclusive Agriculture to MR-T, Industrial
Reserve with Transitional Standards for Brooks Resources. Zone Change
request from A-I, Exclusive Agriculture to RR-I Rural Recreation
Residential for Jay Scott. Zones Change request from R-I, Urban Residential
to R-2 Urban Residential, Multi-Family for Kenneth 0. Bansemer.
Judge Thalhofer presented a proposal -to the Commission for
a Misdemeaner and Probation Program for District #10. The salaries
of the two needed employees, a combination Administrator and Probation
Officier and a Secretary would be paid from a Grant from the Law
Enforcement Council. A Special Fund would be set up for payroll, but
the employees would receive all benefits any County employee receives.
The Commission granted permission for Judge Thalhofe'r to proceed with
the formation of these plans.
There being no further business, meeting was ajourned.
