Chairman Young called the meeting to order at 10:00 a. m. First order
of business was the 10:00 a. m. Hearing on the Vacation of an Alley in
Block 24, Laidlaw (Tumalo). Because no one appeared to object to said
vacation, Don Grubb moved and Bob Montgomery seconded that the vacation
be granted. Vote was unanimous.
The Commission at this time Resolved its intention to exchange a .04 acre
piece of land near Century Drive to the M. R. S. Company for a .03 acre
piece of land lying southerly of the Neff Road right of way. Don Grubb
moved and Bob Montgomery seconded a motion that a Hearing to said exchange
be held in the Deschutes County Courthouse Annex, Conference Room A on
July 2, 1975 at 10:00 a. m. Said resolution is to be published four times
in the Bulletin previous to hearing date. Vote was unanimous.
The Commission for efficiency and streamlining of functions, transfered the
responsibility of the Tax Office from the Sheriff to the Treasurer effective
July 1, 1975. Sheriff Sholes, Treasurer Helen Rastovich, and Nona Kurtz,
Tax Office Department Head, all vowed to work together to insure a smooth
transition.
As there was no further business or discussions, meeting was adjourned.
