The first item on the agenda was the J-J Boys Ranch.Presenta.tion. John Van Patten on the staff of J-J lead the discussion stating that Mr. Paulson and Mr. Shepard had been out to see J-J Ranch and everyone was convinced that ac- quiring the ranch as their own would be the best idea. There was further discussion regarding the land and the ranch uses on the land. Commissioner Young stated at the end of the discussion that county counsel should start drawing up papers for this transaction: Commissioner Young also stated that he would like a reversionary clause in the papers. Lou Dvorak will draw up the necessary papers and get back to the J-J Boys Ranch and the Board. Next item on the agenda was Bob Lovlien with a Request for Waiver of Road Requirements regarding Star Ranch. Bob Lovlien gave the Board a brief history of the Star Ranch. The road department was present to lend opinions to this matter. There was further discussion and a motion was made: MOTION: COMMISSIONER YOUNG moved that the Board waive the road requirements for Star Ranch as requested. COMMISSIONER PAULSON: Second. VOTE: COMMISSIONER PAULSON: Aye. COMMISSIONER YOUNG: Aye. CHAIRMAN SHEPARD: Aye. Next on the agenda was another Request for Waiver of Road Requirements for Dewey Leavitt. Dewey Leavitt gave the Board a brief history of the situation. He would like to propose that their road does not need to be paved as it is not a primary access. They would like to propose a private road off of Cline Falls Road. MOTION: COMMISSIONER YOUNG moved for approval of the waiver with the minimum private road requirements being applied. COMMISSIONER SHEPARD: Second. VOTE: COMMISSIONER PAULSON: Aye. COMMISSIONER YOUNG: Aye. CHAIRMAN SHEPARD: Aye. Lou Dvorak had a matter to bring up regarding the Elliott agreement. Mr. Elliott did not want to build a road in his back lot and it was okayed by the Board. The Board signed it. The Board had to recess aid then reconvene as the governing body of the Seventh Mountain Service District. to sign an Order Authorizing Requests for New Construction Bids. Lou Dvorak gave the Board the above order and explained it to them. Chairman Shepard read the order into the record. MOTION: COMMISSIONER PAULSON moved approval of the Order. COMMISSIONER YOUNG: Second. VOTE: COMMISSIONER PAULSON: Aye. COMMISSIONER YOUNG: Aye. CHAIRMAN SHEPARD: Aye. The Board then adjourned that session and went back into the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners.
