Deschutes County Clerk Certificate Page If this instrument is being re-recorded, please complete the following statement, in accordance with ORS 205.244: Re-recorded to correct [give reason] previously recorded in Book or as Fee Number and Page , BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SEPTEMBER 2, 1980 - BOARD MEETING The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chairman Young, with Commissioner Paulson absent. The first discussion was concerning Special Road District #4, Lazy River, South LaPine. Mr. Jerry Johnson, President for the road district, related the main concern regarding the bridge. The banks of the bridge have deteriorated and are now gone. He explained the seriousness of this condition and expressed the need to repair the banks. Mr. Johnson stated that the district does not have sufficient funds for this repair, and at present, is in debt to the county for $1,900.00. The bridge needs to be brought up to county standards, and the district is requesting funds for this maintenance. Commissioner Shepard suggested the idea of grants for this repair. Chairman Young stated that grants are not being given easily during the current time. The district contains 360 individual property owners, 70 of which are year-round residents. Mail service, school buses and other such services use this bridge to accommodate the district. Chairman Young stated that,he will notify the Road Department of this problem and have them evaluate the bridge and the necessary repairs. Also, Mr. Johnson requested that the Board write letters to two new members of the district recongizing them as members. The new members are Mr. Roy Locke, Jr. and Mr. Frank Worley. The Board agreed to do this. Next on the agenda was MJP-80-8, J.L. Ward, applicant. MOTION: COMMISSIONER SHEPARD moved to approve MJP-80-8. CHAIRMAN YOUNG: Second. VOTE . COMMISSIONER SHEPARD: Aye.
