Amendment to Signature items #6 (A) and (B) will be postponed until the Agenda the next day, December 10, when the Board will reconvene this meeting. A separate agenda was prepared for that meeting continuation. The amendments were approved. Appointment to Myer Avedovech, Chairman of the Juvenile Services Commission, the Juvenile present to the Board letters from persons interested Services Com- in serving on the Juvenile Services Commission. These mission positions have been left vacant by Don Costello and Cindy Carlin, who are no longer able to serve. The Board briefly reviewed the list of persons wishing to serve. MOTION: SHEPARD moved to appoint Myer Avedovech as Chairman, and also appoint Wendy Alsimer- Tillson, Judy Stiegler and Mike Elliot to the Juvenile Services Commission. YOUNG: Second. VOTE: SHEPARD: AYE. YOUNG: AYE. The Commissioners commended Mr. Avedovech on the job he has done on the Juvenile Services Commission. Appointment Commissioner Shepard said that they had received responses to the Home from many qualified people. He had spoken to Norm Rule Committee Schultz and Phil Chase, who both have a past record of community service. MOTION: SHEPARD moved to appoint Norm Schultz and Phil Chase to the Home Rule Charter Committee. YOUNG: Second. VOTE: SHEPARD: AYE. YOUNG: AYE. Other Staff/ Commissioner Shepard noted that the front door of the Public Con- building did not open from the inside when locked, cerns which could be hazardous in an emergency. The Board will discuss this with Doug Maul. Presentation Joanne Rotsolk, Assessor's Office, and Ross Brown, regarding Data Processing, were present to discuss this with computer the Board. They are requesting the expenditure of assistance $2,395 for the acquisition of a Decwriter computer terminal in the Assessor's office. This would have to come out of the contingency fund. Ms. Rotsolk dis- cussed the need for this. MOTION: SHEPARD moved to approve the acquisition of a Decwriter, approve a typewriter terminal and pay for it out of contingency. YOUNG: Second. Commissioner Shepard and Commissioner Young were also in attendance. Discussion Mayor Ruth Burley of Bend came before the Board to regarding request that they reconsider their earlier decision Pinewood to rename Pinewood Drive, rather than rename Pinewood Road/Pine- Road located in Wood River Village. She noted that wood Drive Pinewood Drive was named this many years ago and was a part of the Wisteria Addition to Bend. She noted that the Commissioners had made their decision based on the fact that there are four residences on Pinewood Drive and nine on Pinewood Road. Commissioner Paulson said that he felt that it would be just as logical to let the road that had that name first keep it. MOTION: SHEPARD moved to agree to change the name of Pinewood Road. PAULSON: Second. VOTE: PAULSON: AYE. SHEPARD: AYE. YOUNG: NO. He noted that the Planning Department has supplied evidence that this operation has started again. A letter dated December 2, 1981 had been sent to R.L. Coats, owner, indicating that he would need to file a site plan for this activity by December 21. Placement of a stop work order on the site was discussed. John Andersen, Planning Department, explained that they have already gone through the hearings regarding this ordinance, and that this ordinance was to correct some errors on the plan map.
