DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
DECEMBER 29, 1981 REGULAR MEETING
Chairman Paulson called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M. Commissioner
Shepard was present; Commissioner Young was absent.
Amendments to Amendments to the agenda included consideration of
the Agenda a Temporary Use Permit for Sam MacBeth, Redmond, who
had been burned-out for the second time this year and
also a re-signing of a Bargain and Sale Agreement
due to a clerical error.
Public Hearing Chrm.Paulsom:opened the Public Hearing. There was no
Peterson Annex- public testimony on this item so the public hearing was

MOTION: PAULSON moved to have the lst reading of
Order #81-369 Approving the Annexation of
the Territory to Deschutes County Rural Fire
Protection Distriction No. 2 and Notice of
Final Hearing to be read by title only.
VOTE: SHEPARD: AYE.
PAULSON: AYE.
Chairman Paulson proceeded to give the first
reading of Order #81-369 by title only.
MOTION: SHEPARD moved to approve Order #81-369.
PAULSON: Second.
The Motion was carried.
Request to Ralph Delamarter, County Librarian presented the Board
Authorize 3 with a written request to fill three vacant positions
Positions for at the Library including two Librarians and one Library
the Library Assistant and explained that the Library had sufficient
funds for same.

SHEPARD moved to approve the hiring of the three
positions at the Library.

The Motion was carried.
Mike Maier asked if the Board would place another item
on tfie -agenda of the Special Board Meeting scheduled
for Thursday, December 31, 1981 at 10:00 A.M. which was
to deal exclusively with the second reading and final
decision for the Subdivision Ordinance. The Board
requested that he place the question of the adoption
of KSMB Insurance for the County on the agenda of
January 5, 1982, instead.
MOTION: SHEPARD moved that they approve Order #31-373.
PAULSON: second
The Motion was carried.

MOTION: SHEPARD moved that they approve
work notices for this project.

Amendment #1 to the
Agenda: Temporary Use MOTION: PAULSON moved that the Board grant
Permit for Sam MacBeth Mr. MacBeth a Temporary Use Permit
of Redmond due to the extreme emergency of being
burned-out of his previous home, waiving
the fees on the Conditional Use Permit
only.
SHEPARD: Second - When will Mr. Macbeth get his
permit?
Rick Isham replied that the permit would be issued..

The Motion carried.
Corrected Bargain
and Sale Deed MOTION: SHEPARD moved that they approve the corrected
Bargain and Sale Deed.
PAULSON: Second
The Motion carried.
Acceptance of the Roads
in the Westridge Subdi- Isham stated that he had been contacted the day
vision into the County before on the question;of the roads in the sub-
division being accepted in the County Road System
due to the snow and the steepness of their roads.
Paulson stated that the Director of Public Works,
Neil Hudson should be consulted on this matter
to find out if the County was taking in additional
roads into the County at this time.
There was considerable discussion and Shepard
requested that this item be placed on the January 5,
1982 Agenda.
There being no further business, Chairman Paulson adjourned the meeting.
