He said that the one concern expressed the most was that KMSB would not cover chiropractic care unless it was recommended by a physician. He said that they had not received any negative.comments on the plan from the employees, and that the employees under- stood that we would not be able to afford the current cover- age after the price went up as planned for the middle of this year. He suggested that at this time the county go with the KMSB medical plan and retain the ODS dental coverage, but possibly go to the KMSB dental insurance at a later date. He also noted that the KMSB medical plan gives vision cover- age, and it will be an increase in coverage over Blue Cross. He said that this insurance will be about $3 cheaper Der month/per person than our current health plan. As of Feb. 1, 1982, we will no longer participate in the Blue Cross Health plan. YOUNG: Second. VOTE: PAULSON: AYE. SHEPARD: AYE. YOUNG: AYE. At this time the Board recessed the meeting to meet at the Seventh Mountain County Service District Board of Directors. This was at 11:30 "a.m. The meeting resumed at 11:45. Discussion re- Vince Genna, Bend Metro Parks & Recreation Director garding Land , was present to discuss this. He had a large map indicating Inventory w/ various parcels of county=owned land that the Parks & Rec Parks & Rec. is interested in acquiring. He said that it was the recommendation of the recreation committee that the Parks department should put in for all the parcels of land in- dicated on the man. He pointed out some parcels of land that they would like to use as trading stock, these were a parcel located near Shevlin Park and-one out on Century Drive. They want to trade these for parcels that will bor- der Shevlin Park. There was some discussion of reversionary clauses that would apply to the trading stock, and equal- izing values of land. One of the parcels indicated on the map was the old county road shops. Chairman Paulson said that he had some concerns about that because road funds had been expended to build some of the buildings. Commissioner Shepard expressed concern about giving this land up without further study. After some further discussion, it was de- cided that Commissioner Shepard will go out and look at these parcels to help form an opinion on how they should be disposed of. MOTION: PAULSON moved that the Board of Commissioners authorize Vince Genna to proceed in preparing a plan for exchange of the property at the demo dump site on Century Drive and the site across from the Entrada Lodge on Century Drive with Parks and Recreation or a three-way trade, the two parcels in the vicinity of Tumalo Reservoir to the northwest and one to the southeast and also the triangular parcel on Shevlin Park Road near Shevlin Park. The motion authorizes Vince Genna to proceed in negotiating with the county and other parties as may be appropriate for the trade of these properties. YOUNG: Second. VOTE: PAULSON: AYE. SHEPARD: AYE.
