It turned out that the law library had an old copier it owned that needed to be replaced. This constitutes the bulk of the excess expenses. --Dave -----Original Message ----- From: Jeanine Faria Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 10:28 AM To: Dave Inbody Subject: Law Library Are you the one responsible for the Law Library's budget? If not, please forward this email to the appropriate party. Based on annualizing year to date expenditures for FY 2008, it appears that additional Materials & Services appropriation may be required in Fund 215. Materials & Services appropriations are $88,736 and for 9 months, $68,365 has been expended. Assuming reasonably level monthly expenditures, this would indicate that M & S expenditures for FY 2008 will be approximately $91,000. The only unusual item I see is that monthly expenditures are being made for on a copier lease and nothing was included in the budget for this. The major expenditure for this fund, books, is tracking with the amount budgeted. The amount appropriated for Subscriptions, however, appears to be less than required. In order to be safe (that is, to not exceed the amount budgeted), it would be a good idea to request an appropriation transfer. This is done via an email sent to Marty Wynne, with a copy to Lacy Nichols. Attached to this email is an Excel file. I've prepared a DRAFT of the Excel worksheet for your convenience. Please review the draft and make any necessary changes to the area which is yellow highlighted prior to attaching this to the email to Marty and Lacy. Please call with any questions on this.
