Subject: Crime prevention fund
As I recall Commissioner at the work session on the 30th Luke & Melton, Daly not present, agreed to have staff draft a
resolution for the BoCC transferring $127,466 from contingency to the crime prevention fund for the purpose
recommended below by the crime prevention fund steering committee. Attached is the letter of recommendation to the
BoCC from me on this item. You may recall the crime prevention fund was one of the recommendations of the alternative
to incarceration subcommittee.
Mike Dugan moved that the committee recommend the Board of County Commissioners appropriate an
additional $127,466 to the Crime Prevention Fund, for $82,733 to be provided to the Council on Children and
Families and $44,733 be provided to the Community Justice Department to finance the following programs or
services in the amounts noted below.
• Family Trax $19,733
• Ready -Set -Go $31,500
• First Step $31,500
• Functional Family Therapy $19,733
