BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
A Resolution Appointing Tom Anderson as *
Deschutes County Treasurer * RESOLUTION NO. 2013-094

WHEREAS, Marty Wynne is resigning as Deschutes County Treasurer as of June 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Wayne Lowry was hired as the Deschutes County Finance Director as of July 8, 2013 but
is not eligible to be appointed as County Treasurer due to the one-year Deschutes County residency requirement;
and
WHEREAS,the Board of Commissioners desires that Wayne Lowry become County Treasurer when he
becomes eligible to hold the position; and
WHEREAS, as part of his appointment as Finance Director, Wayne Lowry has agreed to run for the
Office of County Treasurer for the term which starts on January 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners intends to appoint County Administrator Tom Anderson as
County Treasurer as a temporary solution to fill the County Treasurer position until Wayne Lowry has the
opportunity to run for Office of County Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Tom Anderson intends to delegate the duties of County Treasurer to Wayne Lowry, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. Tom Anderson is appointed as Treasurer of Deschutes County effective July 1, 2013.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
