EXPLANATION: The proceeds of the general obligation bonds will be used to remove asbestos from the underside of the roof system at Redmond High School. The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the District a grant of fifty percent, up to$3,899,147,to use for asbestos re- moval at Redmond High School. In order to use these funds, the District must provide the other fifty percent, which will come from the bond proceeds.The bonds shall mature over a period not to exceed twenty years.
