EXPLANATION: This levy will continue present services of the Deschutes County Education
Service District at the 1989-90 level. These services include school nurses for all students in the
county, psychological services for students with learning handicaps, programs for developmen-
tally delayed preschool children, coordination of vocational education programs for high school
students,a film library available to all teachers in the county,and inservices training programs for
teachers throughout the region. This levy contains no funds for program additions or improve-
ments. It equals the 1989-90 budget plus the constitutional increase of 6%. If this levy is approved,
the estimated additional tax rate will be$.17 per$1000 of assessed valuation,for a total levy rate of
$.43 per $1000 of assessed valuation. The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE

CENTRAL OREGON PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT
9-1. THREE-YEAR OPERATING SERIAL LEVY.
QUESTION:Shall Central Oregon Park and Recreation District levy$40,229 for three years outside
the tax base for recreation beginning 1990/91?
EXPLANATION:This measure will provide funds so that Central
Oregon Park and Recreation District can continue operating YES 14
recreation programs at the current level. It funds a Recreation
Director position and some program supervisors costs.
The total amount of money to be raised by this levy will be NO 15
$120,687 to be levied in equal proportions of $40,229 over the
fiscal years 1990/91 through 1992/93.
It is estimated this action will increase tax rates by 10 cents per$1,000 assessed value in fiscal
year 1990/91.

leakage, and removal and treatment of rust on the roof trusses. NO 19

$83,906 to be levied only in the fiscal year 1990/91. It is estimated

members of the boards of trustees for the two districts.

QUESTION: Shall the McArdle Special Road District levy$2,400.00 outside the Tax Base for road
improvement operating expenses during 1990/91?
EXPLANATION: McArdle Special Road District, formed in 1989 proposes a one year operating
levy to raise $2,400.00 in 1990/91. These monies will be used to begin upgrading the road surface
and to make other necessary improvements as required.
