MEASURE LIMITING COUNTY HIGHWAY FUNDING AND PERMIT APPROVAL. QUESTION: Should Deschutes County's authority to fund or permit any limited access highway, except an east Bend bypass, be limited? SUMMARY: If approved, measure will prohibit Deschutes County from spending money or issuing permits for the Bend Parkway and most other limited access roads. Measure allows the spending of money and issuance of permits for a bypass east of Bend.The east side bypass may not be closer than one-half mile to a platted subdivision. The measure defines "Bend Parkway," "Eastside Bypass" and "Limited Access Highway." YES 4 NO 5 WARNING Any person who, by use of force or other means, unduly influences an elector to vote in any particular manner or to refrain from voting,is subject,upon conviction, to imprisonment or to a fine, or both. QUESTION:Should the City be prohibited from issuing permits and spending funds on the Bend Parkway or similar limited access highways? SUMMARY: This measure will prohibit the Bend City Commission and City departments from allocating money or issuing permits for the Bend Parkway and other similar limited access high- ways as they are defined in the measure. QUESTION:Shall the District be authorized to contract a general obligation bonded indebtedness in an amount not to exceed $8,790,000? SUMMARY: This measure, if approved, would authorize the District to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $8,790,000. Bond proceeds would be used to finance the acquisition, construction,furnishing and equipping of a Middle/High School complex and paying all costs incidental thereto.The bonds would mature over a period not to exceed twenty(20)years.
