SUMMARY: If approved, measure will prohibit Deschutes County from spending money or
issuing permits for the Bend Parkway and most other limited access roads. Measure allows the
spending of money and issuance of permits for a bypass east of Bend.The east side bypass may
not be closer than one-half mile to a platted subdivision. The measure defines "Bend Parkway,"
"Eastside Bypass" and "Limited Access Highway."

QUESTION:Shall the District be authorized to contract a general obligation bonded indebtedness
in an amount not to exceed $8,790,000?
SUMMARY: This measure, if approved, would authorize the District to issue general obligation
bonds in an amount not to exceed $8,790,000. Bond proceeds would be used to finance the
acquisition, construction,furnishing and equipping of a Middle/High School complex and paying
all costs incidental thereto.The bonds would mature over a period not to exceed twenty(20)years.
