QUESTION: Shall Redmond School District 2J levy $1,990,522 outside the Oregon
Constitutional Limitation for District operation during the 1985-86 fiscal year?
EXPLANATION:This ballot asks for$1,990,522(which is the same as last year)to bal-
ance the 1985-86 operating budget as recommended by the Budget Committee. The
estimated 1985-86 General Fund Levy rate is $12.82 for$1,000 of assessed valuation.
The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the best infor-
mation available from the county assessor at the time of estimate.
A yes vote would authorize funding for the 1985-86 fiscal year to continue the same level
of operation as the 1984-85 fiscal year.This ballot amount is the same amount the Dis-
trict asked for and was approved by voters last year. The con-
stitutional tax base of $4,568,850.00 together with this YES 7
$1,990,522.00, if approved, will be the total General Fund pro-
perty tax levy for 1985-86. NO 8

SISTERS RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
1. Sisters Rural Fire Protection District One Year Special Levy.
QUESTION: Shall Sisters Rural Fire Protection District levy$33,668.00 outside
the tax base of the 1985-1986 fiscal year?
EXPLANATION: This measure is put to the voters to pay for a fire protection
contract with the City of Sisters for fiscal year 1985-1986. If this measure is
approved $33,668.00 of the taxes levied will be totally financed by local tax-
payers. In addition, the tax base of $37,977.00 will be levied, and is eligible for
partial State funding assuming the law is not changed by the voters or the legis-
lature. The estimated rate for this levy will be $1.48 per $1,000 of assessed
valuation.The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based
on the best information available from the county assessor at the time of the
estimate.
