TAX LEVY OUTSIDE THE CONSTITUTIONAL SIX PERCENT LIMITATION
1. Question: Shall Redmond School District 2J be authorized to levy $I.-
029,985 in property taxes for 1981-82 outside the constitutional limits?
Purpose: Redmond School District 2J needs $1,029,985 outside the tax
base, thus requiring voter approval for this amount which is necessary,
along with state and other funds, to finance the operation of the Dis-
trict. Proceeds of this levy will be used to continue existing educational
programs of the School District.
Explanation: The Redmond School District tax base, approved by the
voters on May 23, 1978, no longer provides enough money to maintain
the District's educational program. The budget committee of local fax
payers considers your approval of this "A ballot measure" and the ac-
companying "B ballot measure" essential if the District is to offer chil-
dren the educational experiences the community has
provided in the past. YES 8 W*
If this measure is approved, $1,029,985 of the tax levied
will be financed paritally by the State of Oregon. NO 9 W*

Purpose: Redmond School District 2J needs $2.393,112 outside the tax
base, thus requiring voter approval for this amount which is necessary,
along with state and other funds, to finance the operation of the Dis-
trict. Proceeds of this levy will be used to continue existing educational
programs of the School District.
Explanation: The Redmond School District tax base, approved by the
voters on May 23, 1978, no longer provides enough money to maintain

companying "A ballot measure" essential if the District
is to offer children the educational experiences the com-

If this measure is approved, $2,393,112 of the fax levied
