OPERATIONAL TAX LEVY — CASCADE SWIM CENTER Question: Shall Cascade Swim Center be authorized a $97,603 fax levy for 9.5 months of oper- ations through fiscal year 1981-82? Purpose: This requested fax levy is intended to be used for the operation of Cascade Swim Center for the last nine and one-half months of fiscal year 1981-82. Explanation: Cascade Swim Center has no tax base for operations, and is dependent upon an annual fax levy, supplemented by program user 'fees. This fax levy will allow Cascade Swim Center to operate at a fully functional level offering American Red Cross lessons as well as other safety-related programs to all the patrons of Central Oregon Park and Recreation District. 15 YES 16 NO 2-1 SPECIAL DISTRICT ELECTION T CARD Deschutes County, Oregon, September 15, 1981 NO. BUILDING BOND AUTHORIZATION Question: Shall Laidlaw Water District contract a general obligation bonded indebtedness in a sum not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($168,000)? Purpose: The purpose for the bonds is to finance the improvement of the existing water system, to provide service to those areas within the district not presently served and to improve service throughout the district. Deschutes River Recreation Homesites Unit 6 Vector Control District 4. ONE YEAR TAX LEVY FOR OPERATING EXPENSE OF VECTOR CONTROL Question: Shall D.R.R.H. Unit b, Vector Control District be authorized to levy $7,081 outside the tax base for financing district operations during 1981-1982? Purpose: This levy shall cover only operating cost of badly infested areas to control the insects infesting the district. This levy is within the Oregon limitations. Presently this Vector Control District does not have a Tax Base since it is their first operating year and requires voters ap- proval of a tax levy.
